Registration Fee: $60

All children must be registered to participate.

Location: All practices and home games will be at Ike Noble Fields/Canton Central School Baseball and Softball Fields.

Season: Practices will begin on or around April 1st and the season runs for about 10 weeks.

Junior Division: Coach Pitch, open to all current Third and Fourth Graders.

Teams play in the North County Softball League and will play other local teams home and away throughout St. Lawrence County. Junior Division is designed to teach the fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting, and “playing the game” of softball in a fun, safe, active, and moderately competitive environment. Playing time will be equitable and players will be encouraged to learn and play at all positions.

Senior Division: Player Pitch, open to all current Fifth and Sixth Graders.

Teams play in the North Country Softball League and will play other local teams home and away throughout St. Lawrence County. Senior Division will still focus on learning the game and continued fundamentals of softball in a fun, safe, active and moderately completive environment. Playing time will be equitable and players will be encouraged to learn and play at all positions.

Equipment: Your child will need their own glove, team bats and helmets are available to use.

A Canton Softball t-shirt is included with registration.

Communication: The majority of communication will occur via the SportsEngine app, including practice/game schedules, up-to-date information, and cancelations. All cancelations will be made by your coaches, weather related or unplayable field conditions will be determined by 5pm.

Each family will be expected to work one game shift at the concession stand during the season. You can claim a shift during any baseball or softball game, you do not have to work a shift during your player’s game. Proceeds of the Peewee concession stand go directly back into the program to cover scholarships, umpire fees and equipment purchases. We appreciate your help and support.

The Pee Wee Board would like to remind all families that dogs and/or animals are not permitted on Canton Central School grounds, including the baseball/softball field location. Top priority is to provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all in attendance.
